August was not very exciting. Beverly Hills real estate market was steady. The same goes for Venice and Hollywood Hills. The inventories are slightly up, but the prices are steady. We did not see any significant increases or decreases in prices.  We are still in a sellers’ market. Buyers still have to be patient during their search for their dream home, and they still have to act fast once they find it.

Beverly Hills And BHPO September Real Estate Market Update

The real estate market in Beverly Hills showed some signs of a cool-down in September.In Beverly Hills, there were 11 houses sold and it took on average 93 days to sell them.Currently, there are 129 houses available for sale. The most expensive home is located on N. Beverly Drive and is offered for $125 million. On average, these homes have been on the market for over 118 days, which shows that in takes longer to sell homes now.In Beverly Hills Post Office (BHPO), there were 17 homes sold and it took on average 80 days to sell them.Right now there are 128 houses offered for sale. They are now well into their careers and they are searching for their first homes.  According to a report from Realtor.com, millennials will be doing the most home buying, predicted to reach 50% of all homes sold. The thing is, they decided for the most part not buy small and work their way up like the boomers did. They have lived in boomer basements or rented until they are ready take the home ownership leap. They have saved their money and are now ready to buy their dream home as their first home purchase and they are searching in Beverly Hills.
